Performance Exchange

SDR's Concept

Over the past 5 years, SDR has developed a model for facilitating Performance Exchanges across a number of industries. SDR's Performance Exchange coordinates benchmarking of results and sharing of best practices through semi-annual meetings and quarterly financial composite publishing.  With the

" No Business is
an Island,
Entire of Itself..."

-SDR Ventures

assistance of a founding member, SDR recruits up to 12 non-competing peers for each industry-specific Performance Exchange.

All members agree to treat the information and interactions with the strictest confidence.

Semi-Annual Meetings

SDR hosts offsite meetings twice per year, bringing members together in order to review comparative financial information and share ideas. These meetings are chaired by SDR principals with deep operational acumen and industry-specific expertise. Drawing on this skill set and knowledge base, the SDR principals act as moderators: promoting knowledge exchange, challenging historic practices, revitalizing operators and ultimately adding value.

Quarterly Financial Composites

Standard financial information is collected quarterly and incorporated into a comprehensive financial comparison of the Exchange members. These composites bring each member to the same understanding of the key metrics important to their industry and allows for open discussions about opportunities for improvement. The financial composite allows members to benchmark with one another's performance, the group average or the best performers on every metric in the composite.

$500,000 in Recurring Annual Savings

......................................................

For the past 5 years, SDR has moderated a Performance Exchange comprised of 10 non-competing Carrier Dealers. The 10 members, led by a dedicated SDR principal, have met twice per year and received quarterly composites detailing financial benchmarks and best practices.

The group has continually improved the group average across nearly every metric and the members have taken advantage of shared best practices. Further, in 2008, SDR assisted the Exchange members in the creation of a captive insurance. As a direct result of the implementation of the captive, the 10 members are saving a combined $500,000 annually in insurance premiums alone.
